Email - - -
I always get a warm feeling when I open my mailbox and see those two special words, "new mail." I can just imagine the equally great feeling others get when they open their mailbox and hear the words, "You've got mail."

Emails are the next best thing to - - - well, the next best thing to the second best thing! Especially when it is an email from a special someone, a friend or a relative. When it is an email from someone close that you haven't talked to in a long time. Or an email that brings good news or an exciting invitation. Or an email from someone who wanted to just say "Hi!"

Emails are special.

Then there are the times when I open my mailbox and get excited to see those two words "new mail" only to discover that it isn't an email from a friend. It's an email form "SuzieQ" who wants me to come see her in her birthday suit or from the "Fly by Night Insurance Company" who wants to sell me insurance or "Middle of Nowhere College" that wants to give me a college degree.

Spam! I dislike seeing those junk emails in my mailbox.

Then the other day I was home and went to the curb to pick up my snail mail. Looking through my snail mail I discovered that the first piece was junk mail, the second was too, as was the third, fourth and fifth. The remaining two pieces of snail mail were bills (not technically junk mail). But there wasn't one greeting from a special someone, friend or relative. That's when I realized that the occasional piece of junk mail in my email mailbox wasn't so bad in comparison.

Thanks to all who have taken the time to send me an email and cause me to be greeted by those two special words, "new mail."

You've made my day!

By the way, my email address is words_i_like@yahoo.com. Feel free to make my day! :->

Question & Answer time - - -
I'm sure many of you have noticed that I haven't been writing in my journal. I just can't seem to get started writing about myself and my daily activities. It is a skill many of you have that I have yet to master. However, my LJ friends know that I regularly read their entries and comment often.

I thought that some of you might have questions. If you do or are just a little curious, this is your opportunity to ask me questions on any subject. There are no limitations on what you ask because it will be private. Your comments will be screened and I will also screen my answers back to you. So feel comfortable to ask anything.

Happy New Year!
The year 2005 is almost over. I know I promised my friends all year that I would begin writing in my journal, but have not. I have commented often in your journals and have enjoyed getting to know a lot of you very well.

In 2006, I will not only continue commenting in your journals, but I will also begin writing in mine. Well, I will try to make some interesting entries every now and then. Perhaps the best way to begin is to wish everyone on my friends list a very happy new year!

This is my second entry - - -
In my first entry I promised I would begin writing soon, but soon never came. Over the months, I have enjoyed reading all my friends journals. I comment often in most of them. However, when it comes to writing in here I always draw a blank. I will write soon. I promise you, once again! At least now I can claim to have two entries in my journal. :->
